The presentation defines both Islam and the Islamic State (ISIS). It contrasts twelve main points that highlight the diverging point of view of ISIS in relation to Islam. The presenter, Rihab Sawah, also presents the historical roots of a movement such as ISIS. She explains why they misuse Islamic ideology, and how it serves their aim to establish their influence in the region.
Today, people around the world are concerned with possible ISIS attacks, and often worry when the are in the presence of anyone who might appear to be Muslim. This is especially true after the Paris attacks in November, 2015. For this reason, the presentation is more relevant to those interested in clarifying what ISIS is and the connection between it and the religion of Islam.
