Labor pains

Labor Pain = Growth

When we think of our spiritual journey, digging deep into our stuff often stirs up painful experiences. To do the inner work can be challenging, however, the day you begin to see, “out of the pain of labor comes blessings” will be a day you will rejoice in the growth you have made in this world of human experience.

In an old Daily Word (Sept/Oct 2021) there is a story about a young lady who worked through fears, anxiety, insecurity and a lot of human feelings…labor pains. For her it was a painful experience, and she began to write affirmations and decided to share them with others who may have needed uplifting. So, she wrote them on abandoned buildings and public areas. At some point she rented a 50ft billboard “You are stronger than this experience because you have already survived.”

It is not often we associate restoring ourselves to what we were created to be as labor. However, it is not easy letting go of stored up uncomfortable experiences. If you are in the midst of a painful experience right now, hold onto this thought…” You are stronger than this experience because you have already survived.” You are an overcomer…an inspiration to someone else who may be going through the same thing.

The reward of our labor is a deeper sense of who and what we are…what we were created to be, and guess what? We do not labor in vain when we rest and trust in God as our lead and follow the guidance of Spirit within, no matter how uncomfortable it may be. Remember this Truth, affirm it often, “I can do all things through Him who gives me strength” (Phil 4:13) …God the Good, Omnipotence.

Here’s wishing you a Joyful Labor Day full of spiritual growth!
